What we do with EVVA hardware

Identifying the cylinder and authorisation

EVVA is a manufacturer of high-security cylinders with mechanical systems, such as 4KS or EPS, master key systems and electronic access control, such as AirKey. With its mechanical systems, keys cannot be freely copied without authorisation. We only deal with mechanical EVVA cylinders: we do not set up AirKey or other electronic systems.

Assessing your case and our limits

We check whether the cylinder is mechanical, whether it is part of a master key system in a residents’ association or company, and who the holder is who can authorise copies or changes. We measure the cylinder on each side of the door and how it fits with the lock and the escutcheon.

Your options before you accept the job

We explain whether a new EVVA cylinder of the same size or a higher-security one is the better choice, or whether ordering copies is enough. Copies and cylinders for a card-based system are ordered with the holder’s documentation. We give you the price before we start.

Useful information before you ask about EVVA

With an EVVA cylinder, it helps to gather these details before asking for advice.

  • Whether the EVVA name appears on the face of the cylinder, on the key or on the card that comes with it.
  • Which part is involved: the cylinder, a particular key, the escutcheon or the lock.
  • What is happening: you need copies, the key is hard to turn or you want old keys to stop opening the door.
  • The type of door and whether the cylinder is for your home or business premises or for a shared entrance.
  • Whether you still have the key registration card and how many keys you have, without photographing them.

Identifying your EVVA model

Details that help identify your hardware

The EVVA name and the model shown on the face of the cylinder, whether you have a key registration card or ownership document for the keys, and whether the cylinder belongs to a master key system. Do not send photos of the card, the code or the key cuts.

Compatibility and availability

With the model we check the size and compatibility in EVVA’s documentation. If the cylinder is part of a card-based system, we confirm which of the holder’s documents are needed before giving you the price.

Why you should not choose an EVVA part without checking the door

With an EVVA cylinder, compatibility does not depend on the brand alone. The size on each side of the door, the lock and escutcheon it works with, its condition and whether it belongs to a shared key system all play a part. Checking the door first tells us whether it is best to keep it, order copies or replace it.

What to clarify before replacing an EVVA part

  • Do you need copies, a cylinder that works properly or more protection for the door?
  • Would you rather keep the current cylinder or consider replacing it?
  • Is the cylinder part of a system that shares a key with other doors?
  • Do you have the key registration card to hand, or any visible reference on the cylinder?

What to confirm in your EVVA quote

The price depends on the cylinder model, its size, the number of keys and whether copies or a cylinder for an existing system are being ordered. VAT is charged on top, the price depends on when the service takes place and, outside Torrevieja, a supplement applies. We give you the price before we start.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about EVVA

Which documents should I keep when asking about an EVVA cylinder?

The key registration card or ownership document, if you have it, and the details of the system holder. That is what allows copies or compatible cylinders to be ordered. Do not send it as a photo: we will tell you how to present it.

Can you work on any EVVA model?

No. We replace mechanical EVVA cylinders, use them to upgrade door security and order copies or cylinders with a registration card. We do not set up AirKey or other electronic systems, and each model is confirmed from its reference.

Which photos help identify my EVVA hardware?

One of the face of the cylinder, where EVVA and the model can usually be seen, another of the door edge with the door open and another of the whole door. Do not send photos of the key registration card or the key cuts.

How is the quote for EVVA confirmed?

From the model and the photos we give you the price before we start, with VAT on top. If anything changes once we measure the door or process the card, we explain it and do not carry on without your agreement.

Does this page mean you are an official EVVA service?

No. This page offers guidance on EVVA cylinders, but it does not indicate any official link, authorised distribution or certification with the manufacturer.

What is the difference between ordering copies and replacing an EVVA cylinder?

Ordering copies keeps the cylinder and adds keys identical to the ones that already open it; it makes sense if you can account for all existing keys. Replacing the cylinder means the old keys stop working, which is worth considering if keys have been lost or you do not know who has them. The right choice depends on your case.

Why does being an EVVA cylinder not guarantee it will fit my door?

The brand does not tell you the size or how the cylinder fits your lock and escutcheon. Also, if it belongs to a shared system, replacing it may affect other doors. That is why the whole set is checked before a replacement is suggested.
