DOM Security is a security group whose ranges include mechanical cylinders and master key systems, lock cases, padlocks, and electronic cylinders and access control systems. We only deal with mechanical DOM cylinders: we do not programme electronic cylinders, readers or access systems.

We check whether your cylinder is mechanical or part of an electronic or master key system, its length on each side of the door and its compatibility with the lock and the escutcheon.

Before asking about a DOM cylinder, first look at the following.
- Whether the DOM name can be seen on the face of the cylinder, on the key head or on both.
- Which part is involved: the cylinder, the key, the escutcheon that protects it or the lock.
- What the symptom is: the key is hard to insert, only turns partway or the cylinder moves.
- The type of door and whether it is the entrance to a home, business premises or a communal area.
- Whether the key opens several doors in a residents’ association or company and whether you still have the key registration card.

The DOM name on the face of the cylinder, whether the key is part of a master key system in a residents’ association or company, and the approximate size. Do not send the key registration card or close-up photos of the keys.
Compatibility and availability
With the reference we check the size and compatibility in DOM’s documentation before giving you the price. If the cylinder belongs to a master key system, we tell you, because replacing it may affect that system.

A DOM cylinder may be the only one on that door or part of a shared key set, and that changes what is best to do. Compatibility also depends on the cylinder size, the lock and escutcheon fitted and the condition of the door. Checking it first avoids choosing a part that does not fit or that affects other doors.

The price depends on the cylinder model, its size, the number of keys and the fitting. VAT is charged on top, the price depends on when the service takes place and, outside Torrevieja, a supplement applies. We give you the price before we start.

Does an enquiry about a DOM cylinder cover electronic systems?
No. We only deal with mechanical DOM cylinders. If your cylinder is electronic or is programmed through an access system, we do not work on it.
Can you work on any DOM model?
No. We replace mechanical DOM cylinders and use them to upgrade door security; each model is confirmed from its reference. We do not deal with DOM padlocks or electronic systems.
